Dr. David Smith is a 2006 graduate of THE Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and has amassed years of experience in various veterinary practices surrounding Lake Erie. Dr. Smith’s veterinary career started in Buffalo, New York as his wife Susan completed her medical internship and ophthalmology residency. Though the pull of the home of the Buffalo Chicken Wing was strong, family drew them back to practice in Northwest Ohio. Despite an initial interest in large-animal medicine, he has ended up with 15 years of dedicated small animal medicine. His professional interests and strengths include (but not limited to) small animal dentistry, ophthalmology, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Smith’s personal interests include lawn care, gardening, triathlon training, and offering ‘helpful advice’ to the television during Ohio State football games. He lives in Fremont, Ohio with his wife and two daughters (Natalie and Lauren), two cats (George and Max), and an English Labrador named Ezekiel Dobbins Olave Smith.
